The Flowmon appliance allows you to enable or disable Spectre & Meltdown protection. Prior to Flowmon 13.0, the protection was enabled by default and could only be disabled from the command line. Starting with Flowmon 13.0, the protection is disabled by default and can be enabled from the web interface.
This change was made to improve the overall performance of the appliance, as the risk of exploitation is considered low because it cannot be executed remotely.
To enable the protection, simply click Enable Spectre & Meltdown mitigation and reboot the appliance for the changes to take effect.
