Requirements

Installation and device operation does not require any peripherals. Usage of monitor and keyboard (or KVM) is only needed for some service actions and for the first-time static IP configuration. The following is a list of prerequisites for device installation:

• Available connection to the local network using a standard UTP cable to connect to the management port (see the section Connection to the Local Network for more details).

• Available monitored links - using the mirror/SPAN port on the router/switch or using TAP (see the section Connection to the Monitored Link - Probe only for more details).

• A computer in the local network with a web browser (Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox, or Microsoft Edge) to secure remote access to the device. The web interface supports the latest stable versions of the aforementioned web browsers, as specified by their vendors.

• Local network requirements - to configure consumed or provided network services and firewall rules refer to the Network Services section.
