The MOVEit Transfer Settings view provides file transfer controls, user controls, and site settings. MOVEit Transfer Settings are organized in two views according to level of administrator privilege:

  • Site admin
  • System-wide admin
Note: Hint: "Root folder" properties such as Allow Overwrite on Home folders are NOT configured through this Settings page. Instead, these properties are configured through the Folder Settings link available on each of the root folders.

Site Admin Settings View

Site administrators (Admins) have a variant of settings view without the System pane:

  • Appearance. User sign on, locale, and account defaults.
  • Security Policies. User auth and sign on, between session permissions caching, UI remote access, and content scanning settings.
  • Ad Hoc Transfer. Access control settings and expiration settings of person-to-person information transfer of MOVEit Transfer-secured information.
  • Miscellaneous. Log persistence. Data tampering and change logging. File preview in browser controls.

MOVEit Transfer System Administrator Settings View

SysAdmins have a system-wide view, which contains a System Settings on the Settings page.

  • Appearance. User sign on, locale, and account defaults.
  • Security Policies. User auth and sign on, between session permissions caching, UI remote access, and content scanning settings.
  • Ad Hoc Transfer. Access control settings and expiration settings of person-to-person information transfer of MOVEit Transfer-secured information.

  • System. System-wide debug, auditing, user auth method, remote access, content scanning, and data tampering controls. System-wide notifications.
