Regular Users that have Share permissions, can control (switch on or switch off) notification settings of users they provide folder access to.

Scenarios for user notification can include getting an email for cases of:

  • Upload/update/upload confirmation.
  • Delivery confirmation (or download).
  • Delete.
  • Folder access sharing.
Note: Notification triggers and direction (Sender/Recipient) are configured inFOLDERS > [Change Notification Panel].

Tip: When you share a folder with another user (Secure Folder Sharing) MOVEit Transfer will send out an initial notification. This behavior occurs independent of the upload notification settings you assign to the folder.

To change folder notifications by way of shared folder settings:

  1. In the left pane, click FOLDERS.

  2. From folders view, and click the gear icon () for the folder you want to see or edit notification settings for.

  3. To change settings for a specific user:
    • Click the 'edit' icon ().
    • Clear or check Notify
    • Click Save.
