Installation Log File

If you encounter any problems during the installation, you can find details about the problem in the installation log file.

For Local ODBC Client installations using the standard installation procedure described in Installing the Local ODBC Client, the Local ODBC Client creates a log file, oaodbclocal.log, in your temporary directory (for example, C:\temp).

The log file created during the installation can be read with a text editor or word processor. Progress DataDirect provides technical support to help you interpret the log file if you encounter problems.

Although the log file can be very long, the most important information is at the beginning and end.
