ADO.NET Client

Note: The ADO and ADO.NET clients are currently available only in OpenAccess SDK 8.1. However, they are compatible with the OpenAccess SDK 9.0 server.

Installing the ADO.NET Client requires the Microsoft .NET Framework Version 4.8 or higher, available for download on the Microsoft Web site.

Existing code written for earlier version of the .NET Framework and earlier version of the.NET client is not compatible with the 8.1 version of the data provider. Note that the applications built using .NET 4.8 or above and directly referencing the data provider assemblies must be updated with 8.1 or later data provider and recompiled. If recompiling is not an option, you can use .NET facilities to redirect references the older assemblies to the newer assemblies.

Development Environment
