Extracting ODBC Client Files

The tar file you download from the Progress DataDirect Web site depends on the environment in which you will use the Local ODBC Client:
- oaodbclocal32_unixos_version.tar for 32-bit environment
- oaodbclocal64_unixos_version.tar for 64-bit environment
where unixos is the UNIX or Linux operating system, for example, sunos, and version is the version number of the release.
On your UNIX workstation, access the tar file you transferred to the temporary directory and extract it. For example, enter:
tar -xvof /oaodbclocal32_*sunos*_*version*.tar
