The first time you log on to OpenEdge Management, you must use the default user name, which is admin, and the default password, which is admin.
To enter the default user name and password:
Keep in mind the following details related to the default password admin:
- You use the default password admin only once; namely, the first time you log on to OpenEdge Management. The configuration page that opens at the initial login requires you to change the default password before you can submit your initial setup choices and before you can use OpenEdge Management.
- The new password you provide on the configuration page does not take effect until you stop and restart OpenEdge Management. You do this by either shutting down and restarting the host machine or using the appropriate command-line interface (CLI) commands. See Use the command-line interface for more information.
