The Asset Details Report allows users to see specific asset information collected about each device. More precisely, it compiles the information found on the Inventory tab of the Device Properties interface when Assets, Windows Bios, or Windows Operating System are selected from the Device Information type list into a single full-page report.
Please note, this view differs from the Asset Inventory report because it is not limited to physical assets, and only primary asset entries reported by a device (chassis). The data is collected by various methods including the use of standard and proprietary MIBS, WMI requests, and many other protocols. Then, it is normalized into a common format for display by this report and the Device Properties interface.
To customize report data to better fit your needs:
- Use the controls at the upper-left corner of the interface to select a device or device group, or alternately select a predefined subnet, in order to limit the report data displayed.
- Hover your mouse over any column header, then click the icon that appears to display a drop-down menu to further refine results and customize the report by choosing which data points appear in the report. Hover over Columns, then select the applicable column or columns you'd like to see on the Asset Details Report.
- Use the same drop-down menu to sort report data and apply user-defined, column-specific filters.
