Alerting on Backup Failure

If you want to be notified of any failures that occur during scheduled backups, ensure that:

• SMTP is correctly configured in Flowmon Configuration Center > System > System Settings > Email,

• Appliance administrators have valid email addresses configured in their user profiles

If a failure occurs during a scheduled backup process, an error event is displayed in the notification panel of the web interface and all appliance administrators are notified by email. In this context, an appliance administrator is any user with the admin role assigned in Flowmon Configuration Center > System > User Settings.
