Advanced Analysis of Selected Data

Once flow data is chosen for analysis, it is possible to apply the requested filter on it using the form at the bottom of the page.

To select data for analysis, you must select the time interval in the Detailed chart and you can also choose some of the channels in the graph. If you select the Use all channels in the profile option, then all channels of the profile are processed (including hidden channels disabled in the Change displayed channels form). If you select the Use selected channels option then only channels displayed in the detailed graph are processed.

NOTE:

If the selected time interval starts before the start time of the profile (the grayed out section in the chart), Flowmon tries to pull data from the parent profile (if available) to satisfy your request. This comes with a performance penalty and can result in significantly longer search time. 

Click Filter to display the filter field. You can then enter a filter string. The syntax corresponds to the syntax of nfdump commands and its basics are described below.

Click Process to run the filter.
