In-app notifications and resource center access provide users with user-specific up-to-date information about releases and updates, as well as direct access to relevant resources.

In-App Notifications

In-app notifications display within the Web Admin UI while it is in use to alert you to product releases, update availability, and inform you of new features.

In-app notifications are enabled by default on new installations and upgrades. To enable in-app notifications, open the MOVEit Config Utility and select the In-App Notifications check box on the General Tab. Notifications about upgrades and service packs are only visible to MOVEit Automation administrators.
Note: We do not collect any information identifying your organization or any users within your organization. However, to target the appropriate users with in-app notifications a third-party provider collects and processes the following non-personal metadata:
  • MOVEit Automation product name and version
  • User type
  • Hashed anonymized licensing and other metadata for reporting purposes

For users with multi-server access, in-app notifications can be enabled on one or more servers and disabled on others.

Resource Center

The MOVEit Resource Center provides links and access to the MOVEit product community and ecosystem including:
  • Product release information
  • Knowledge base (KB) information and how-to articles.
  • The MOVEit customer community site.
  • The MOVEit product ideas portal.

To access the MOVEit Resource Center directly from the Web Admin UI, if in-app notifications are enabled, click the Notifications icon in the menu bar. Resource Center content is available to all logged-in users.
