MOVEit provides a conversion utility (MIAutomation-MyToMS.exe) to facilitate database migration from MySQL to Microsoft SQL or Azure SQL.

This utility guides you through the following actions to migrate the database:

  • Create a new database on the MSSQL or Azure SQL server
  • Configure user credentials to access the new database
  • Copy data from the existing MySQL database to the new database
  • Verify copied data (optional)
  • Configure MOVEit Automation Server settings to use the server and database

Note: The utility is downloaded and installed in a sub-folder during the MOVEit Automation installation and is also available from the Product Downloads section on the Progress Community.
