To edit an existing host

  1. Click the HOSTS link in the Web Admin navigation bar.
  2. To select a host that you want to edit, click the host name.
  3. Click Edit on one or more of the following host categories. The available categories differ for different Host types.
    • General
    • Uploads
    • Limits
    • Timeouts
    • Timeouts & Transfers
    • Security
    • Advanced
    • Directory List Parsing
    • Additional Commands
    • Decryption
    • SMTP
    • Email MDN
    • Retry
    • Miscellaneous
    • Data Integrity Checking
  4. Edit the properties as required.
    Note: If you edit the hostname or IP address of a host or proxy server/firewall, the passwords are cleared. To continue, re-enter the passwords or continue without passwords.
    Note: If you edit the hostname, IP address, or proxy server of a host, tasks that use this host and have Override Default Credentials enabled are also affected by this change and require a password reset to run successfully. The affected tasks are marked with a warning icon in the Task List. The specific steps are marked in the task details. When host changes are saved, you are given the option to go to the Task List page to view the affected tasks.
  5. To check the host configuration, click Test. For more information, see Tests Performed on Hosts.
  6. To save your changes, click Save.
