One of the important features of Knowledge Model Management is the ability to publish models, which allows for classification and building model indexes for use in other applications (such as search engines). Managing publishing configurations for each model is available in Knowledge Model Management using the publisher plugin.

This process requires you are assigned the “MANAGER” role for the model whose publisher configuration wish to download or update.

How to download existing publisher configuration

To download the existing configuration, do the following:

  1. Open a model (in this example, “Space Missions”), and click Edit Master or open a task.

  2. At the top of the page, click the model menu (labelled Master or by the name of your task), and then click Download Configs.

    "Download Configs" menu option

  3. When the Download Publisher Configuration window, appears, it will prompt you to save the file. Navigate to a directory, name the file, and click Save.

  4. When the download completes, click Close.

The file you downloaded contains all of your configuration files (including classification templates). You can extract the file to edit or review the files.

How to update the publisher configuration

To update the configuration, you will need to generate a “ZIP” file containing the same file structure as the publisher configuration you downloaded above. The simplest method to do this is as follows:

  1. Extract the downloaded configuration file into a new directory

  2. Update the files you need to update

  3. Create a new ZIP file containing all of the files including those you have just updated

  4. In Knowledge Model Management, open the model you wish to update the publisher configuration for

  5. At the top, click the model menu (labelled Master or by the name of your task), and then click “Upload Configs”.

    Upload Configs menu option

  6. In the Upload Publisher Configuration window, drag and drop the zip file containing your config files in the proper area (#1 in image). Choose to add to the current configuration or replace the entire configuration (#2 in image), then click Upload File (#3 in image).

    Upload Publisher Configuration pop-up

  7. When the process has completed, click Finish.
