How to add or edit a class for a concept

Explanation

This article explains how to add or edit classes for existing concepts in a model.

Classes are essential for creating relationships and helpful for bringing additional informational organization to a model.

Assumptions

  • You have an existing model.
  • The model contains at least one concept.
  • You have the MANAGER, EDITOR, or CONTRIBUTOR role for the model.

Method

  1. Open a model (in this example, Test Model), and click Open Master or open a task.
  2. On the left-hand navigation area, click a concept to open its details (in this example, Father).
  3. In the Details area, click the pencil button next to Concept Class.
  4. When the edit box appears: - To delete an assigned class, click the X on it. (1) - To add a new class, click in the empty are of the edit box. Begin typing the name of the class, or select form the choices shown (in this example, Caregiver). (2) - Click the green check box. (3)

Outcome

You will see the new information in the Details view of the concept. The different classes each display with a different color.
