Backing up WS_FTP Server in a failover cluster

In a WS_FTP Server failover cluster, you must manually configure backups for the SQL database, the user database, and the folders and files located in each hosts's top folder since no configuration data is saved on the nodes themselves.

To backup WS_FTP Server in a failover cluster:

  1. Backup the WS_FTP Server database in Microsoft SQL Server. See the SQL Server documentation for more information.
  2. Backup the external user database (if applicable). See the user database software documentation for more information.
  3. Back up the files and folders located in the top folders of each host.
