To update OpenEdge on Windows, perform the following steps:

  1. Navigate to the folder where you extracted the software image and double-click the setup.exe file. The Welcome dialog box appears.
  2. Read the information and click Next to continue with the update. The Backup Installed Files dialog box appears.
  3. If you want to back up the existing files, select the Backup Existing Files checkbox and click Next.
  4. In the Summary dialog box, review the update options you have chosen and click Next.
  5. In the Upgrade Setup Done dialog box, click Finish. The OpenEdge update is successfully completed.
