The uninstall script consolidates and
formalizes the actions required to remove an OpenEdge installation from all supported Linux
operating systems. The uninstall script is located in the
install subdirectory of OpenEdge-install-dir.
If you installed OpenEdge Management, stop the OpenEdge Management Trend Database before uninstalling. You can use OpenEdge Management, or the following command:

The AdminServer must be running to stop the OpenEdge Management Trend Database. If you receive a warning during the uninstall that fathom.db is in use, the OpenEdge Management Trend Database has not been stopped.
If you want to save trending data, be sure to copy the OpenEdgeManagement-install-dir/db before removing OpenEdge Management.
If you want to save all the customized monitoring plan and resource definition information, be sure to copy OpenEdgeManagement-install-dir/config/fathom.odb before removing OpenEdge Management.
The command to uninstall OpenEdge on Linux systems has the following syntax:

Progress recommends using the uninstall script to ensure
that the following uninstall processes occur properly:
- Uninstall third-party, embedded products.
- Remove release-specific entries from the /etc/progress file and /etc/ProDbgCK
(Progress Debugger Check) files, and remove the OpenEdge installation directory. In
addition, the
uninstallscript creates an OEversionuninst.log file in the home directory.
