The OpenEdge Command Center MCP Server is included with the OpenEdge Command Center Server installer and is installed as part of the server installation. No separate MCP Server installation is required.

To verify the MCP Server:

  • Check the service status:
    • On Windows, run oeccmcpserver.bat status.
    • On Linux, run oeccmcpserver status.
  • Confirm that the port setting under the oecc_mcp section of mcpConfig.json is 8002.
  • Confirm that the MCP client uses the following endpoint:

    http://<mcp-server-host>:8002/mcp

  • Check the MCP Server logs in the same logs directory used by the other OpenEdge Command Center Server logs. Review the logs for startup messages or errors.
  • If the MCP Server is not running, start it or use the ProgressOpenEdgeCommandCenterMcpServer2.1 service.
    • On Windows, run oeccmcpserver.bat start
    • On Linux, run oeccmcpserver start
