The OpenEdge Command Center MCP server runs as a separate process and communicates with MCP clients over HTTPS. By default, it listens on port 8002. The OpenEdge Command Center server user API listens on port 8000 by default.
Before connecting, confirm that:
- The MCP client can reach the MCP Server.
- The MCP Server can reach the OpenEdge Command Center Server User API.
- The MCP Server is running.
- The MCP client trusts the MCP Server certificate.
To install the default root CA or configure certificates for remote access and information about mcpConfig.json settings, see Configure and manage the OpenEdge Command Center MCP Server.
