The OpenEdge Command Center MCP Server lets MCP-compatible AI clients, such as VS Code with Copilot and Claude Desktop, retrieve authorized OpenEdge Command Center information through read-only tools and prompts.
The OpenEdge Command Center MCP Server is included with the OpenEdge Command Center Server installer and is installed as part of the server installation. No separate MCP Server installation is required. It provides access to information such as Server nodes, Agents, OpenEdge installations, PAS for OpenEdge instances, applications, and list databases.
OpenEdge Command Center Server remains responsible for authorization. The tools and prompts return only information that the authenticated user is authorized to access according to the user’s OpenEdge Command Center roles and permissions. The MCP server does not grant additional permissions or provide tools that modify OpenEdge Command Center resources.
