These options govern basic behavior of the Component Designer. You open this dialog by selecting Window > Preferences > Progress OpenEdge > Tools for Business Logic.

The following fields and commands are available:

Fields Component Directories Not currently used; do not modify.
Persistence Radio buttons for selecting the storage format for component models.
Auto-link components An option to have the Component Designer automatically create default relationships between certain components.
Disable advanced wizard features An option to skip selection of a model file when creating a new component with XMI storage in effect. If this option is selected, the component is stored in the default appModel.t4bl file in the project root folder.
Diagram background color An option to select a color for the Component Designer canvas.
