The following table provides a list of error messages that may appear while licensing a LoadMaster:
| Error type | Description |
|---|---|
| LM already licensed | When you try to license a LoadMaster that is already licensed. |
| Device is either not a LoadMaster or unsupported version | This error may appear if you try to license a device that is not a LoadMaster, or if the version of LoadMaster is not supported by LoadMaster 360. |
| Connection error, cannot connect to LoadMaster | The LoadMaster is not reachable. |
| LM already licensed | Licensing a LoadMaster that is already added to LoadMaster 360 or licensed on the system. |
| Unable to get the license list from licensing server | This error may appear if you are trying to license a pooled LoadMaster with a LoadMaster 360 standard subscription (that does not have pooled licensing). |
| Max LoadMaster allocation reached for pool license | The maximum capacity of pooled LoadMasters has been reached or exceeded. |
| Max Pooled LoadMaster allocation reached | The maximum capacity of pooled LoadMasters has been reached or exceeded. |
The following table provides a list of error messages that may appear during re-licensing a LoadMaster:
| Error type | Description |
|---|---|
| Connection error, cannot connect to LoadMaster | The LoadMaster is not reachable, for example, it may be powered off. |
| Unable to detect status of LoadMaster | This error may appear if you try to re-license a newly-licensed LoadMaster which does not have a healthy status yet. |
| License failed, A previous license was applied and the LoadMaster requires a reboot | This error may appear if you are trying to re-license a LoadMaster that was already re-licensed and it requires a reboot. |
| License update failed. Device is either not a LoadMaster or unsupported version | This error may appear if you try to re-license a LoadMaster whose license has already been killed (for example, after an extended Connector connectivity issue caused the license to expire and be revoked) and whose MAC address has changed since it was originally licensed. In this case, LoadMaster 360 no longer recognizes the device as the previously licensed LoadMaster, so the re-license action cannot succeed. To recover, do not repeat the re-license attempt. Instead, kill the license in Infrastructure > License Repository, add the device again using the Activate a new LoadMaster workflow (in Infrastructure > Device Inventory > Add Device > LoadMaster), and then manually reboot the LoadMaster after the new license is applied. |
| Max LoadMaster allocation reached for pool license | The maximum capacity of pooled LoadMasters has been reached or exceeded. |
