You can re-license an existing, pooled LoadMaster that is managed by
LoadMaster 360. To re-license a LoadMaster, follow these steps:
- In LoadMaster 360, go to .
- Select the Pooled tab.
- Select a license in the Licenses overview section.
- Click Re-license to access the Relicense LoadMaster page.
- Select a license from a list of pooled licenses displayed on the Relicense LoadMaster page.
- Click Relicense.Note: A banner is displayed within LoadMaster 360 to notify you about whether the license has been successfully applied or not.
When the new license has been applied, you will must manually reboot your LoadMaster (System Configuration > System Administration > System Reboot in the LoadMaster User Interface (UI)).
The LoadMaster serial number remains the same after it has been re-licensed.
Note: If the license was already killed before you
attempt to re-license the LoadMaster (for example, following an expired grace period),
or if the device's MAC address has changed since it was originally licensed, the
re-license action fails with the error License update
failed. Device is either not a LoadMaster or unsupported version. In
this case, do not repeat the re-license attempt. Instead, kill the license in Infrastructure > License Repository, then add the
device again using the Activate a new LoadMaster
workflow (in Infrastructure > Device Inventory > Add
Device > LoadMaster), and then manually reboot the LoadMaster after
the new license is applied. For more details, refer to the following section License a newly deployed LoadMaster.
