When adding a LoadMaster to LoadMaster 360, you have the following options:
- Download & configure a new virtual LoadMaster: Quickly download, configure and license a new virtual LoadMaster. Select this option if you want to deploy a virtual LoadMaster in your environment.
- Add existing LoadMaster: Manage an existing, previously-deployed LoadMaster through LoadMaster 360 in just a few steps.
- License & add new LoadMaster: Quickly license a newly deployed unlicensed LoadMaster and manage through LoadMaster 360.
- Add & convert LoadMaster: Bring your existing LoadMasters (single appliances or High Availability (HA) pairs) under centralized management in LoadMaster 360 and seamlessly convert their licenses.
Some important things to keep in mind when adding a LoadMaster to LoadMaster
360 are as
follows:
Note: The Connector can be
configured with up to 10 LoadMasters, either as individual appliances or High
Availability (HA) pairs. Each HA pair counts as one LoadMaster toward this
limit.
- Cloud-based LoadMasters in High Availability (HA) mode are not currently supported in LoadMaster 360.
- You will not be able to add any additional LoadMasters if the asset (LoadMasters and applications) limit for your license has been reached.
- LoadMaster 360 supports LoadMasters with firmware version 7.2.54.15 (Long Term Support Feature (LTSF)) and above. Certain features, such as WAF Insights and User Insights, require the latest Generally Available (GA) firmware release. For example, User Insights requires firmware version 7.2.62 or above. Refer to each feature’s documentation for specific version requirements.
- LoadMaster clusters are not currently supported in LoadMaster 360.
- When you add a LoadMaster to LoadMaster 360, a new LoadMaster user is created. This LoadMaster user has a prefix of lm360 followed by the first 8 characters of the Connector ID (making it a unique name per Connector). An lm360 user is added for each Connector in use.
- At present, LoadMaster 360 only supports perpetual LoadMaster licenses and pooled LoadMaster licensing. Service Provider License Agreements (SPLA) are not currently supported.
