Forward compatibility of exported configuration is guaranteed throughout all releases with the same major version number. Between major versions, the last stable release of the previous major version is guaranteed to export configuration that is compatible with the next major version. Example: For Flowmon 12 releases, configuration export from any 12.1.x release will be compatible with any future 12.2.y release. For upgrades between major versions, if 11.1.13 is the last version released for Flowmon 11 then configuration exported from this version is compatible with Flowmon 12 and can be imported.
The following appliances may require a reboot to successfully complete all Flowmon updates: Flowmon Probe 20000 Pro, Flowmon Probe 40000, Flowmon Probe 40000 Pro and Flowmon Probe 200000 Pro. Affected appliances will be rebooted automatically by the Flowmon update process.

Flowmon Probe 200000 Pro appliances with Mellanox network interface cards are not compatible with Flowmon APM Probe. Attempting to install and use this module may prevent the appliance from functioning correctly. This issue impacts all Mellanox-based appliances regardless of the installed version of Flowmon and will be addressed in a future Flowmon APM Probe release.
