Important information

• For updates of KVM VA from versions prior 10.1.x: It is necessary to change the disk type from SATA to Virtio.

• For updates from version 10.01.04 when Distributed Architecture is enabled: When updating it is not possible to update all units in DA to the newest version when the installation package has been downloaded via Versions / Available packages. In such case only the Master Unit is updated and the rest of the units needs to be updated via remote FCC. It is recommended to download the installation package manually from the support portal and import it via Import Package option in Versions / Installed packages, in such case the distributed update is triggered on all units.

• APM widgets are not compatible with the new Flowmon Dashboard.

• In DA mode, the listening port mode TCP/TLS is not working. Please use TCP or UDP instead.

• Mobile app Rest API has been removed in Flowmon 10.02.00.

Important information

What's New

• It is possible to define alerts based on NPM (Network Performance Monitoring) metrics.

• Alerts defined for 30 second profiles are evaluated every 30 seconds.

• It is possible to process Network Time, Response Time and Art Count Retransmissions values received from Cisco devices supporting AVC. When these values are received, they are converted and saved as equivalent proprietary data fields.

• It is possible to capture and process Amazon VPC flow logs that allows to natively monitor the Amazon infrastructure.

• Support for monitoring of SCADA/ICS protocols IEC 61859 (GOOSE/MMS) and DLMS was added.

• We have reworked the way how Flowmon integrates with LDAP to simplify the administration of roles and access rights:

• User interface allows to browse directly in the LDAP structure and map LDAP groups to Flowmon Roles;

• Support for nested groups has been added. Nested groups support hierarchical relationships used to define inherited group membership;

• It is possible to use two search bases, one for user accounts, second for groups;

• The user ID attribute is configurable.

• The capability on how to monitor Flowmon via SNMP has been extended. Detailed list of all new supported objects can be found in the document "Flowmon SNMP - Supported Objects" on Flowmon Support Portal.

• FMD configuration is now also part of the configuration export/import which allows the administrator to simply backup the configured dashboard.

• Support for DA topology import/export allows the administrator to simply backup the Master unit configuration and then restore in case of failure to a replaced Master unit.

• Flowmon responsivity and overall performance has been improved in situations where there are many sources and channels. It is also possible to configure channels to not calculate NPM or traffic charts.

• Flowmon supports processing of SSL information (e.g. Server Name, Server Cipher and others) from flow data received from Gigamon devices.

• We have improved overall performance of the Proxy Group, the Proxy Unit can now handle up to 800k flows/s per listening port.

• User Guide in PDF format has been replaced with HTML version.

• 7620493: Fixed issue that caused missing or extra values added to columns when report was exported to CSV and some data was missing.

• 7621521: Listing the flows via rest API no longer shows rounded values of bytes, packets, etc.

• 7620288: Fixed issue that occasionally caused FMC widgets to have different color in chart and table.

• In the Built-in Collector settings it is again possible to terminate running FMC queries.

• If the light mode is enabled in the Monitoring Port setting, it is not possible enable and use Autonomous system list.
