Purpose

The driver name and version information on the client to be stored in the database. For Microsoft SQL Server 2000 and higher, this property sets the hostprocess column in the sysprocesses table. For Microsoft SQL Server 7, this value is stored locally. This value is used for database administration/monitoring purposes.
