The Oracle driver allows applications to store and return the following types of client information associated with a particular connection:
- Action associated with the current module
- Name of the current module
- Name of the application
- Additional information about the client, such as a client ID
- User ID of the user connecting from the client
- Host name of the client
- Accounting information, such as an accounting ID
This information can be used for database administration and monitoring purposes. See Using Client Information for details.
