Configure endpoints

Requires:

• Semaphore services: API User and any Semaphore role.
• MarkLogic Server Services: MarkLogic Administrator role.
• Data Hub Central services: API User and any Data Hub role.

Accessed:

• By clicking on any service card.

Appears:

• As a collapsible right sidebar after choosing one of these Configure menu options:

  • Configure Endpoints (all but MarkLogic Server Service cards)
  • Configure HTTP/XDBC/WebDAV Endpoints MarkLogic Server Service cards only)
  • Configure ODBC Endpoints (MarkLogic Server Service cards only)

Contains:

1. A list of existing configured endpoints.

   • This includes only the prefix; that is, the paths may support other values that begin with entries included in this list.
   • Each entry in this list includes either to view or to edit it and to delete it (if is grayed out, then you cannot delete this endpoint).

2. A + icon at the top or bottom of the sidebar.

   • This icon brings up a form for adding a new item to the list.

3. A pair of Cancel and Save Changes buttons to finalize the list.

   • Clicking Cancel--or anywhere off the sidebar--closes the sidebar and causes any changes in the above list to be ignored.

Endpoint hostname formats

HTTP, XDBC, and WebDAV endpoints use the standard tenancy hostname:

<tenantDnsName>.data.progress.cloud

ODBC endpoints use a dedicated TCP hostname:

<tenantDnsName>-tcp.data.progress.cloud
