Organization Administrators ("org admins") may disable a currently configured anti-virus scanner at the organization level. This page allows administrative users to enable or disable software virus scanning for this organization.
For more information, refer to the topic MFT Features and Advantages - Content Scanning.
Edit Anti-Virus Settings
- Enable for this Organization: Select Enable to apply scans through your 3rd-party AV engine.
- Action on Server Error: Select Block to terminate transmission and return a violation if the ICAP connection times out or messages to indicate virus detection. Allow Content and Log to enables transmission but logs the virus detection (or timeout).
Note: When both DLP and AV Content Scanning are each enabled and configured
to block (or implicitly block due to timeout), you can use logs to diagnose which
scan process returned the initial failure message that blocked the file from MOVEit Transfer.
Note: System administrators enable Content Scanning (SETTINGS > System > Content
Scanning > Anti-Virus) at the system level. They may define various scanners
but enable only one anti-virus (AV) and/or data loss prevention (DLP) scanner per
system.
