Modifying an Existing Field

To modify an existing field, follow these steps:

1. Click Databases in the left tree menu. A list of databases appears.

2. Click your target database.

3. Click the Fields link in the left tree menu. The Summary tab appears.

4. Click the name of the field you want to edit. The Configure tab opens.

5. If you want to change any of the settings, make any desired modifications and click OK.

6. Complete the procedure at one of these two places:

   • To modify a metadata field, start with Step 8 in Configuring a New Metadata Field.

   • To modify path and root fields, start with Step 12 in Configuring a New Path or Root Field.
