Before you begin the installation:
- Verify that you have write privileges for the installation directory.
- Verify that your system meets the driver’s requirements for a database before you install the driver. The driver will not work if these requirements are not met. See "Requirements and Support" for a list of driver requirements.
Note: The installer requires a Java Virtual
Machine (JVM) that is Java SE 8 or higher. The JVM must be defined on your path.
Note: A home directory is required, and the installer must have access to it. For UNIX/Linux
installations, the home directory is the
$HOME directory.
