WS_FTP Server provides two ways to reset MFA:

- Users must install an authenticator app, such as Google Authenticator or Microsoft Authenticator, on their mobile device.
Reset your own MFA
- Log on to WS_FTP Server.
- In the top-right corner of the user interface, click Reset MFA.
- A confirmation page appears asking if you want to reset MFA. Click Reset MFA to confirm.
- You will be logged out and returned to the Log On screen.
- Log in again. The Setup Multi-Factor Authentication page will appear.
- Scan the QR code using your authenticator app or enter the text key manually.
- Enter the verification code and click Verify to complete the setup.
Reset MFA for another user (Admin action)
Admins can reset MFA for any user.
- In the WS_FTP Server Manager interface, select .
- From the user list, select the user whose MFA you want to reset.
- On the user details page, click Reset next to the MFA
settings.
This clears the user’s MFA configuration.
The user will be prompted to set up MFA again upon their next sign-in.
