This package installs Flowmon Packet Investigator (FPI) on your Flowmon appliance.

Compatibility

• This package is compatible with Flowmon OS version 12.4.0 or higher.
• This package is compatible with Flowmon ADS version 12.4.0 or higher.
• A compatible version is only required if packet capturing triggered by Flowmon ADS is needed.
• This package can update Flowmon Packet Investigator version 12.2.0 or higher to the current version.

Installation

1. Download the package from the support portal. Do NOT unpack it.
2. Log in to the Configuration Center on your Flowmon appliance.
3. Select the Versions tab.
4. Click Import Package and select the update file you downloaded in step 1.
5. Wait until a notification is displayed informing you that the update was successful.

What's new

• Compatibility with Flowmon version 12.4.0 or higher.
• PHP was updated to version 8.3.

Fixed defects

• The FPI analysis does not fail if a malformed packet is present. Information about the malformed packet is displayed as part of the analysis result.
• 194084: Fixed the deletion of old FPI recordings.
• 202118: Fixed DNS traffic analysis.
• 201542, 202019: Fixed an issue that caused high CPU load on the FPI probe with 200 Gb Netcope cards.

Known issues

• NTP traffic analysis can report a false positive event with incorrect server time settings. This issue will be resolved in an upcoming bug fix release.
• Changes in timezone settings can cause failures when creating future packet captures. The workaround is to restart the FPI module after changing the timezone.
