- Flowmon Packet Investigator replaces Flowmon Traffic Recorder and introduces traffic analysis.

- Traffic analysis is available after a license upgrade. For upgrading, contact your Flowmon Partner or Flowmon support.
- Customers without an upgraded license can still update and use Flowmon Packet Investigator as the Traffic Recorder, and their purchased support remains valid.
- Captured traffic analysis.
- The module now offers analysis of captured network traffic for the most commonly used network protocols to detect operational issues and help with network troubleshooting.
- Results of the analysis are visualized as event trees with detailed information from packet data for each event, accompanied by a description of the issue and suggested remedial actions.
- Supported protocols: DHCP, DNS, FTP, IMAP, IMF, POP, SIP, SLAAC, SMB, SMTP, IP, TCP, SSL, HTTP.

- You can upload traffic recordings (in PCAP format) from external sources to the Flowmon Packet Investigator for analysis.
- Uploaded PCAPs are available on the Recordings page.
Known issues
PCAPs captured by Flowmon ADS cannot be downloaded from Event Evidence in Flowmon ADS at this time. You can still download captured PCAPs from Flowmon Packet Investigator.
