This section provides step-by-step upgrade procedures for Windows-based OpenEdge MCP
deployments using PowerShell. Before you begin, ensure that:
- Docker Desktop must be running
- Python 3.11 or later must be available to
mcpgen.ps1. - Set deployment variables:
$env:OEMCP_HOME = Join-Path $HOME 'oemcp-dist' $Profile = 'my-oemcp-profile' $Tool = '<known-read-only-tool>' $ToolArgs = '<valid-json-arguments>' # Example for the Sports test data service: # $Tool = 'getCustomer' # $ToolArgs = '{"filter":"CustNum=3000"}'Note: If your system does not allow running PowerShell scripts (.ps1 files), use .\mcpgen.bat instead of .\mcpgen.ps1 throughout these procedures.
