Each user profile has a "View User Logs" link (Users > username > General Information - View User Logs) that administrators can use to define a log filter that returns log information about just that user.

Log Entries Table

Log entries table contains activity records for the current user.
Note: For many columns such as Date and Time, User Full Name, and so on you can click the text to display Log Entry details.
Administrators can click the Date and Time field to see Log Entry details, including:
  • Date/Time.
  • User. MOVEit Transfer account username (click for General Information and an Activity to select.)
  • Target. User account action was applied to.
  • Description. Description of the user action or result.
  • Technical. User action Message or Error output (if appropriate).

Advanced Log View

The View User Logs link displays a filter panel, which allows the admin to select a date range of user activity to display in the view.

Click Apply Filters button to apply the settings to the filter and display the table of logged events.

Customize This View

Apply Filters > Customize View button displays checkboxes that allow you to reduce or add columns available in Logs view. Changes you apply with the Update View button will be retained between sessions. At least one column must be selected.

You can customize the following column data and options:
  • File. File attribute data.
  • User. User attribute and connection (IP address) data.
  • Other. Action performed and client agent ID.
  • Special. Options that make log browsing easier and reduce noise.

Edit Filter

Edit Filter allows users to select the content displayed in the advanced file view.

Favorite Filters

The "Favorite Filters" link will bring up a page that allows users to select a saved custom view, file transfer filters, administration, or activities. The Define Advanced Filter link displays the Edit Filter form.

Save Current View to Favorites

Favorite views (combinations of column and record count preferences and filter options) can be saved to the Favorite Filters page by setting up the view using the Customize View and Edit Filter links, then clicking the Save Current View to Favorites link. The user will be prompted to enter a name for the new view, or use the name of the currently selected view, if they would like to update it. Once a custom view has been saved, it can be loaded again from the Favorite Filters page.
