Global parameters apply to all tasks.
To access this dialog box:
Click RESOURCES > Global Parameters
For more information, see About Global Parameters.
Add a global parameter
- Click Add Parameter.
- Enter the parameter name. Built-in script parameter names auto-suggest as you type. You can also enter a custom parameter.
- Enter the parameter value. Built-in script parameter value options vary depending on the selected parameter.
- Optionally, you can select the Secure parameter value check box to suppress the parameter value. Ensure that you record the secure parameter value, once saved it cannot be viewed or edited but can be reset. Secure parameters are only available on MOVEit Automation 2022.1 or later.
- To add the parameter, click Save.
Edit a global parameter
- To open the Edit Parameter dialog, click the parameter name.
- Edit the parameter name or value, as required. Note: Secure parameter values cannot be viewed or edited but can be reset
- To reset a secure parameter value, click Reset value. The parameter value is cleared.
- To save the changes to the parameter, click Save.
