MarkLogic Server uses FIPS-capable OpenSSL to implement the Transport Layer Security (TLS 1.2 and 1.3) protocols. FIPS mode is enabled by default. SSL RSA keys are generated using secure FIPS 140-2 cryptography. This implementation prevents weak ciphers and uses only FIPS 140-2-approved cryptographic functions. FIPS mode can be disabled through the Admin Interface.
For more information on the OpenSSL FIPS 140-2 cryptographic capabilities, see the OpenSSL Project documentation.
