Progress DataDirect drivers provide applications with unparallelled access to industry-leading relational, big data, NoSQL and cloud data sources. As an OEM partner, you can embed our full breadth of ODBC drivers into your application’s data access layer as closed, password-protected components ready for distribution. Distributing the drivers with your application is a three-part process that consists of branding the drivers, installing them with your application's installer program, and enabling your application to unlock the drivers.
This is your guide to distributing Progress DataDirect® for ODBC and Progress DataDirect Connect® Series1 for ODBC drivers. This guide contains the following information:
- Branding the product explains how to brand Progress DataDirect for ODBC drivers using the program installer.
- Unlocking the ODBC drivers explains how to unlock drivers from the applications that you develop.
- Distributing the ODBC drivers explains how to distribute the product files for installation with your application.
- Distributing Windows ODBC files explains which files you must distribute with your Windows applications.
- Distributing UNIX and Linux ODBC files explains which files you must distribute with your UNIX and Linux applications.
Refer to the Installation Guide for your driver for installation requirements and other information.
