Hash Table Entries (-hash)

Use Hash Table Entries (-hash) to specify the number of hash table entries to use for a buffer pool.

The number of hash table entries to use for the buffer pool.

CAUTION: Do not use this parameter unless directed to do so by Progress Software Corporation Technical Support.
Note:
  • You can specify a maximum -hash value of 2,147,483,647 if there is sufficient memory on the system.
  • If not specified, the default -hash value is calculated as approximately one-quarter or one-third of the total buffer pool, with a maximum default value of 265,000,007 when the total buffer pool is set to its maximum of 1 billion.
