Important: Please note, after purchasing WhatsUp Gold 360, a trial license is initially delivered. To obtain your full license, you must obtain your hardware ID, then submit it to Progress. For more information, see Obtain your hardware ID.

To install the NTA+ Collector virtual appliance:

  1. Extract the contents of the downloaded .ZIP file, then deploy the virtual machine image by uploading the applicable file to your virtual environment. Please note, the procedure for virtual machine deployment is dependent upon the virtual environment in use.
  2. Once the NTA+ Collector has been fully deployed, power it on, then copy its IP address.
  3. Launch a browser tab, enter the IP address as a URL, then log into the NTA+ Collector.
  4. Click Configuration Center.
  5. Review the End-user License Agreement presented, then click Accept.
  6. Select License from the tabs at the left side of the user interface.
  7. Click Choose File.
  8. Navigate to and select the .KEY file sent to you after you purchased your license.
  9. Click Upload.
  10. Return to your virtual environment and update it as needed to ensure flow data is sent to your new NTA+ Collector. Again, the procedure for making this configuration change is dependent upon the virtual environment in use.
