After entering a license key that includes Distributed features and that
designates the machine on which WhatsUp Gold is being installed will serve as the Remote
Site, you'll be prompted to complete the following steps at the appropriate points
during installation in addition to everything described in Install WhatsUp Gold using either the Standard or
Advanced workflow.
Review the information presented in the Deployment Options dialog, then click
Next.
Enter the IP address of the Central Site installation as well as the TCP port number
for the Remote Site being installed to use for communication with the Central Site.
Additionally, enter a user name and password for the Remote Site being installed to use
for accessing the Central Site, then click Next.
Enter a display name the Central Site will use to identify the Remote Site, then click
Next.
Important: After Remote Site installation is complete, confirm
reporting data to the Central Site is allowed under Program Options in the WhatsUp Gold
Admin Console application. For additional information, see Configuring WhatsUp Gold Distributed. This topic

Important: If you installed WhatsUp Gold with Failover features
in addition to Distributed features, you must also proceed with Finalize Failover configuration following
installation to successfully complete installation of WhatsUp Gold.
