Explanation
This article explains how to create a new model in Knowledge Model Management (KMM).
A model is used to describe a specific corpus of documents or domain(s). In Semaphore we refer to taxonomies as “models.”
Assumptions
- KMM should be working and running.
- You have a user account with SemaphoreAdministrators or SemaphoreSuperAdministrators access level.
Method
- Log in to Semaphore.
- In the Modelling section, click Models.
- Click the button Create New Model.

- Enter the Model Name. If you desire, you may also add a description, a tag (used for filtering on the main screen), or change the display color of the model tile.

- If you wish to modify the default namespace, click More Options, and change the value in the Default Namespace box.

- You may also add a user(s) or groups prior to creating the model by searching for the user/group, and then clicking the Add User/Group button.

- Click Save.
Outcome
- You will see a successfully created message and your new model should appear in the dashboard. In the example image, the tag Test is selected, which shows only the new model.

- Here’s an overview of your new created model:
- Model ID (1)
- Model Name (2)
- Model description (3)
