On AIX platforms, building the DataServer executables for use with OpenEdge DataServer for Oracle is no longer required. You can now use the executables provided by Progress directly, such as _progres, _orasrv, and _mproapsv. You need only to set the ORACLE_HOME environment variable to the top-level directory of your Oracle installation.
