To disable auditing only temporarily, you can disable all policies through Audit Policy Maintenance. You must have audit administrator privileges.

To turn off auditing permanently (with no intention of ever re-enabling it), you can use the PROUTIL utility. No existing data will be lost. For more information about disabling auditing, see Manage the OpenEdge Database.

Note: OpenEdge clients from previous OpenEdge releases are blocked from access to the database until all the data in the audit tables has been deleted.
