Progress Developer Studio for OpenEdge can be configured to automatically generate Native Invocation files when you build your project. You can verify or change the default behavior of Progress Developer Studio for OpenEdge for invocation file generation.

To configure Developer Studio to generate Native Invocation files:

  1. In Progress Developer Studio for OpenEdge, open an existing project or start a new project.
  2. Check your project properties.
    1. Select Project > Properties.
    2. In the tree view, expand OpenEdge and select Build.
    3. Select the Generate Sonic invocation files checkbox to have Progress Developer Studio for OpenEdge automatically generate your .esboe files when your project is built.
    Note: By default, Progress Developer Studio for OpenEdge writes your .esboe files to your r-code destination directory.
  3. click Apply and Close.

The next time your project containing annotated source is built, Progress Developer Studio for OpenEdge will automatically generate your .esboe files.
