Some ODBC applications display a logon dialog box when you are connecting to a data source.

The Logon to SAP ASE dialog box

In this dialog box, provide the following information:

  1. In the Network Address field, type the unique identifier assigned to the SAP ASE server machine. For example, SAPASEserver, 5000.
  2. In the User Name field, type your SAP ASE user name.
  3. In the Password field, type your password.
  4. In the Database field, type the name of the database to which you want to connect
  5. Click OK to complete the logon.
